How to Lose Weight Fast

Despite what people say, slimming up is actually pretty simple. The real problem is that you and everyone else already know what you need to do but don’t want to do anything that requires the slightest bit of work. What you really want to do is take a few of those “magic” diet pills or drink a few acai berry shakes and melt the weight off overnight.

The big companies love people like you. In fact, the industry makes hundreds of millions of dollars every year from people looking for methods to get skinny without doing anything. These companies constantly release fitness equipment and new “proven-to-work” diet pills and then advertise them to you through the Internet, TV ads, magazine ads, and every other place imaginable.

Once a person has been ripped off once or twice, he/she becomes immune to these types of advertisements/products and starts to seek out alternative tips from other sources. But for every person that catches on to these scams, there are ten more to fill his/her shoes.

You don’t need thousands of dollars worth of gym machines and diet pills to . (You can even save money if you are serious about burning that fat on your body.) Instead of eating out four times a week (which is extremely unhealthy), you should cook at home for six days and only eat out on special occasions or once per week.

The truth is, you don’t need to buy any books to achieve your goal, you simply need these three simple tips: 1. eat less 2. exercise more 3. repeat steps 1 & 2. Yes, it really is that simple. But if you’re still not convinced, then feel free to read some of our articles located in the sidebar or some of the tips/techniques below. Once you’re finished reading our advice on how to tone up below, you’ll see how easy the process really is.

Tips
Start Now – This is probably one of the best advice you’re ever going to get. Don’t tell yourself that you’ll start tomorrow, you know you won’t. Go outside for a twenty-minute walk as soon as you finish reading this sentence. Now. Go.

Drink Water – Drink one or two glasses of water before meals, this will make you feel more full and so you won’t eat so much. Drinking water is also generally quite healthy, so you’d be doing yourself two favors by keeping yourself hydrated throughout the day.

Set Clear Goals – Don’t just say you’re going to “get skinny”, rather set clear and specific dates of when you need to achieve your goal. Make a bet with a friend or family member that you will lose xx pounds by a certain date and that you will pay him $100 if you don’t. Working out will suddenly seem a lot easier to you.

Breakfast – Skipping breakfast will actually make you fatter since you’ll be even hungrier by lunchtime. Make sure you eat a good breakfast everyday.

Ways to Fast
Exercise – Exercising regularly is one of the easiest methods mentioned so far. Don’t push yourself too hard though. Start off slowly (walking 20 minutes per day) then slowly increase the amount of exercise you do as you become more fit.

Diet – Going on a crash diet won’t help you much in the long run, but a good diet definitely will. Research the various diets available online and once you find one that you like just stick to it.

Eat Less – You don’t need to deprive yourself of all the foods you like if you want to burn some fat, but cutting down will significantly help you lose a few pounds quite easily.

Anything under 1200 calories a day will hurt your metabolism in the end. Stick with something at least 1200 calories and focus on upping your protein intake along with your aerobic exercise and you will see some changes.

Pin pointing exactly how much weight you will lose is impossible – it all depends on your base metabolic rate, general activity and overall health.

ps:How to Lose Weight Like a Guy

May 18th, 2010 admin No comments

The one phrase that can turn any relationship into a nuclear winter is: “I need to drop 5 pounds—I’ll cut out the beer.”

Think the most infuriating thing a guy can say to you is, “Yeah, it does make your butt look big”? Wrong.
And here is the ugly truth: One beerless Patriots game and your guy is back in his high school gym shorts. You could forgo beer forever and be about as close to getting into your high school gym shorts as you are to fitting into one of Barbie’s dream gowns. It’s not fair.

Men’s bigger muscle mass—in fact, their bigger-ness overall—helps them burn 30% more calories than we do, says nutritionist Cynthia Sass, RD, coauthor of Your Diet Is Driving Me Crazy. They have other advantages, too: For one, their hormones don’t leave them waterlogged—and heavier—1 week a month. We generally have more body fat and are biologically more inclined to store it (possibly to nourish those dozen babies nature wants us to have).
Face it, guys are just losers. Well, better losers than we are. Even though we’d knock ‘em dead in the Jeopardy! category—we know everything there is to know about calories and fitness—they have the physiological edge. When Paul Tasner decides to drop a few pounds, says his wife, Barbara Walter, an ambulatory surgery nurse and a wellness coach in the San Francisco area, it seems to happen overnight: “It looks like he had a belly suit on, and then a day later, he takes it off and there’s a slim guy underneath. It really pisses me off.”
The bad habits guys overcome (beer and chips) seem to result in instant , while ours (mistaking a box of Ring Dings for a therapist) seem too emotionally hardwired to short-circuit. Finally, in the gym, they grab the big, macho barbells and do routines that make them grunt. Our weights tend to be pink…and puny. Read more…
